Cette annonce attrayante a su attiser la curiosité de certains qui ont du commander des documents (livres, fichiers, cd-roms..) aux personnes déjà affiliés au système qui les ont en quelque sorte « parraînés ».
Une fois les documents en leur possession ils vont à leur tour devoir recruter de nouveaux membres qui devront eux aussi acheter le pack pour faire leur entrée dans le réseau. Continuer la chaîne est impératif pour espérer gagner de l’argent. D’où l’effet pyramidal.
L’effet pyramidal est-il légal ?
Très répandu aux Etats-Unis, l’effet pyramidal est interdit en France et au Canada. Il est assimilé à une escroquerie.
Cette pratique n’est en effet avantageuse qu’aux premiers affiliés. Les dernières recrues se trouvent lésées et perdent leurs investissements premiers.
